Benalmádena

Benalmádena is one of the most popular cities on the Costa with tourists from all over Europe. The city also has a huge expat and vacationer population. A stunning old town, coastline and marina (emphasize the ‚MAD‘ as ‚Benal-MAD-ena‘), Benalmádena is a fun place to vacation with a wide range of hotels and apartments to choose from! Great for the kids too!

Benalmadena

Sun, sea and something else in Benalmádena! Benalmádena is a great little city, alive and full of life. The promenade stretches for about 2 km and is great fun. In contrast to many promenades on the Costa del Sol, this one is not built directly next to the road, so it is also ideal for children. Lots, lots and lots of bars, restaurants and chiriguitos to choose from. Lots of entertainment even in high season.

It’s close enough to Malaga Airport for a cheap taxi ride, or hop on a train at the airport and take the direct line to Benalmadena.

In the traditional Andalusian old town are the Castillo Monumento Colomares, a castle-style monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus and his discovery of America, and the Benalmádena Stupa, a large Buddhist temple.

The Benalmádena Marina

The marina is very beautiful! Plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants to wander around before settling on an evening out! It’s a really nicely designed place too.

Spend the afternoon or evening, maybe both, in this stunning harbor. It’s great to wander around and look at the boats and there are ferry trips to Fuengirola and Torremolinos, as well as an abundance of fishing, diving, and excursions on the Mediterranean. Lots of friendly little boutiques around the marina as well as lots of really good places to have a snack. Beautiful during the day, excellent in the evening, the modern Puerto Marina is home to the Sea Life Benalmádena Aquarium and moored yachts.

The Benalmádena Pueblo

I think it’s safe to say that the majority of visitors stay on the coast, but if you don’t mind navigating the steep hills we recommend Benalmádena Pueblo.

Tivoli world

There are tons of reasons to visit Tivoli World amusement park, an experience to enjoy a fantastic day in a unique place on the Costa del Sol. Your kids will love Tivoli World, they really will. Rides, white knuckle and gentler options, shows, gardens, animals and plenty of places to eat and relax, Tivoli should definitely be on your vacation list!

Between fountains and gardens, there are many exciting attractions, colorful and varied entertainment and entertainment shows that take place in the different squares and in different scenarios. Try the different restaurants to satisfy your appetite between themed restaurants and bars and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of the park.

Paloma Park is nice too. It’s just a park, not too excited, but it’s big and has a lot to do for the kids. Lots of playgrounds, animals and cafes for drinks for everyone. Definitely worth an afternoon on the paseo.
