Alameda Park is small, but very nice. Right on the main road, it’s chock-full of the most amazing trees and plants and has a huge round water fountain in the middle. Lots of benches for sitting with a coffee and cake, lots of them clad with azulejos, Andalusian hand-painted tiles showing some of the city’s monuments and history. In the higher season months, you’ll also find a small fairground – maybe ‘fairground’ isn’t the right word, but a few little rides and things to keep the kids happy. My boy used to love it. Now he likes video games. 🙁

Marbella is situated on the Mediterranean Sea, between Málaga and the Strait of Gibraltar, in the foothills of the Sierra Blanca. The municipality covers an area of 117 square kilometres (45 sq mi) crossed by highways on the coast, which are its main entrances.
The Alameda Park is situated in the core of the town, only north of Avenida del Mar and is a famous gathering place for the inhabitants of Marbella. Offering guests a desert garden away from the bustling Old Town region found close by, the Alameda Park is certainly worth a visit when in Marbella.
