Fuengirola Feria – Feria internacional de los pueblos.  You visit over 50 countries, presented in colour, taste and sound, and each country gets its own institution – in the fields of music, art, culture, food and entertainment.  Lots of great street food, costumes, dancing and fairground rides, too!

It is a wonderful festival that takes place in the town of Fuengirola, a small town on the southern coast of Spain, in a beautiful area of the country, and lasts a week. We visit over 50 countries representing color, taste and sound, and each country gets its own built – in the area and at special events such as music, dance, food, art, crafts and more.

The typical dishes and drinks from every country are also worth a visit, so that there is something for every taste. This festival is very popular in Fuengirola and people come from all over the world, making it one of the highlights of our annual calendar of events. The annual festival has been growing in popularity with locals and visitors for over 10 years.

The various autonomous regions of Spain are well represented by Galicia, Asturias, Melilla and, of course, Andalusia. Another country is Paraguay, with countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru and Bolivia, as well as Brazil.

The International Village Festival is an ethnic exhibition held in Mijas Fuengirola, in the province of Malaga, Spain. This year, over thirty countries have come together to present their culture, and there are many opportunities to have fun, buy interesting handicrafts, clothes, food and gifts, enjoy good entertainment and even dance the night away. It is a round-the-world tour for a fraction of the price and is open to visitors from all over the world, locals and tourists alike.

The festival is to pay tribute to coexistence and tolerance, and costumes, crafts and gastronomy are shown. More than thirty countries from around the world, from the Middle East, Africa, South America, Asia and Europe are taking part in the event.

The International Popular Fair of an international character should not be confused with the City-City Fair of Malaga, which exhibits the culture and economy of the municipality and province of Malaga and takes place in Malaga. The International Intercultural Festival of Fuengirola, the largest of its kind in the world, is held every year in May and June, in collaboration with other cultural and cultural events, such as the Festival de la Ciencias de Malaguas (the International Cultural Festival) in Madrid, which takes place during the FuengirolA weekend (May – Mijas) and in June.

During the fair, horse figures are considered to be particularly important and almost sacred, and activities with horses are very popular in the municipality. The fair offers a variety of rides that allow the whole family to visit the area at any time of the year. This is a wonderful fair, which is held in the main fairground of Fuengirola (between train stations of Fuengirola and Los Boliches) and lasts for a week. In just one day, you can visit up to 50 countries – or at least a microcosm of each one, since they are represented in full colour and flavour and sound. Each country is allocated its own caseta (stand or purpose-built area). For over 10 years, this annual celebration has grown and become increasingly popular with local residents and visitors alike. From mini German beer festivals, to Irish dancing shows and Cuban rhythmic music and dance, there is something for every taste. The typical dishes and drinks from each country are worth sampling, too. It is a very popular festival in Fuengirola and people come from all over, making this one of the highlights on the annual events calendar.

The International Peoples Fair, of an international nature, should not be confused with the Malaga Towns and Cities Fair, which exhibits the culture and economy of the municipalities of the province of Malaga and which is held in Malaga. The Malaga City Intercultural Festival is also held in the capital of Malaga as a sample of countries and regions of the world.

Similar to many other Andalusian fairs, this one is held in the local fairground during the second week of October where we’ll find loads of fair huts where people can eat, drink and dance, with traditional music that in some of them it’s live. The fair also hosts a wide variety of fun rides, which is why it’s an ideal place to visit with the whole family if you find yourself in the area around this time of the year.

Other special festivities that take place in Fuengirola are the carnival and the night of San Juan. The Sohail castle hosts special events like concerts, exhibitions like well-known Fuengirola City Festival where even important artists of the national music industry attend.
